Wedding Flower

A good friend of mine is getting married in November and she requested that I make her a flower to wear with her dress!  The center of the flower is hand beaded and accented with ivory feathers.  I love it and I think she will love it too!! The wedding jewelry is will be finished soon and I will be sure to post pics!

Birdie's Boutique

This weekend was the first Fall showing at Birdie's Boutique (on University across from police dept.).  This is my only permanent display in town and I rearranged a few things to accomodate this new hair accessory display.  Come by and visit Ms. Kay and Ms. Ramona Mon-Fri 11am-2pm and on Wed till 5pm.  Hope you see something you like!!

Beautiful Buttons

The past couple of weeks I have been making lots of hair clippies and tonight was no different!  I made this batch of

CRAFT NIGHT!

So tonight myself and two friends made hair accessories and watched 17 again!  I can't think of a better way to finish off a crazy week than with crafting and a chick flick :) Here are some pics of our creations!

Jamie made these AWESOME flower hair clips! I am thinking Jewels by Julia may need to hire a new employee! She paired these funky flowers with a cool stretchy headband (below).  

This flower headband is a great way to combine Jewels by Julia clippies with a headband for a super trendy look! 

Of course I could not forget my little trendsetter of the family.  These girlie clips (sorry the pic is so bad!)are for my niece Alyssa who request some feather clips like her Aunt Jewuh! 

A Bouquet of Hair Clips!

As I mentioned in Friday's post I have been in California since the end of July.  I was scheduled to return home today, but my flight was cancelled!! So what's a girl to do in Palm Springs?  Visit resorts? Go to boutiques? Nope I needed to get my crystal fix at Michaels :)  While the craft store was one of our many stops today, I was able to pick up the supplies I needed to finish this beautiful bouquet of flower hair clips!! I will be back at the airport tomorrow to hopefully catch my flight back to Louisiana!  Goodbye desert, hello humidity!

So I have been out of town since the end of July and am having

Luckily I brought some ribbon and thread and made these super cute ribbon flowers.  They will look perfect on some colorful headbands.

So I made this yummy 6 layer cake for a neighbor's birthday party we had at my sister's house the other night. My niece and nephew helped bake the cake and loved dying the layers. I just had post a picture because it was so cool! Two cake mixes, 4 cans of frosting, lots of neon dye and a few handfuls of skittles will get you this......

Back in Action!!!

I'M BACK!!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything since MAY! I have been super busy with vacations and summer school but I am ready to get back in the swing of blogging.

My sister is an awesome photographer and took some pics of her girls wearing some things I made for them. These super cute bow flip flops are adorable, and can be made in practically any color. I am working on making them with monogrammed buttons in the middle. Also pictured are some precious yo-yo clips modeled by the fabulous Hailey. Hope you enjoy and keep checking back, I promise I will keep the creations coming!
