This is one of my favorite headbands! I wear it ALL the time. It is so simple to make...measure a piece of elastic around your head..sew it into a headband and then sew on buttons! Lots of buttons! It is really easy, and i get tons of compliments every time I wear it. You could even use a headband from the store. Its perfect with a messy ponytail.
So you sew the elastic onto a headband. I'm assuming it's a fabric headband? I really want to try this. It looks so adorable. Thanks for sharing.

Jess_LyMi - you don't sew a piece of elastic ONTO a headband, you sew the elastic strip INTO a headband (sew the 2 ends together to make a circle/headband). And then you sew the buttons onto the elastic. Very easy :)
DeleteIt's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love this. Do you think it would work if you hot glue buttons onto a plastic headband?
ReplyDeleteI do not recommend hot gluing buttons onto plastic headband....I have tried it, and the buttons pop off in one or two wearings :( Sorry
DeleteThis may be an odd questions but i was curious if I could buy one of these form you? I am not good at sewing but in LOVE with this!!!!! It's adorable!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good! Makes me really want to get crafty! If I had one, I'd definitely wear it all the time too. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing! I can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteI have to try this! Soo cute
ReplyDeleteHi! So I got the elastic and sewed it together but it keeps slowly popping off of my head. What am I doing wrong? Did I make it too tight?
ReplyDeleteI love the headband and will make it for my granddaughters.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure exactly how you do this with the elastic, headband, buttons, and glue. Could someone who has had good luck in making one of these.
