Button Love!

This is one of my favorite headbands!  I wear it ALL the time.  It is so simple to make...measure a piece of elastic around your head..sew it into a headband and then sew on buttons!  Lots of buttons!  It is really easy, and i get tons of compliments every time I wear it. You could even use a headband from the store.  Its perfect with a messy ponytail.

  1. So you sew the elastic onto a headband. I'm assuming it's a fabric headband? I really want to try this. It looks so adorable. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Jess_LyMi - you don't sew a piece of elastic ONTO a headband, you sew the elastic strip INTO a headband (sew the 2 ends together to make a circle/headband). And then you sew the buttons onto the elastic. Very easy :)

  2. I love this. Do you think it would work if you hot glue buttons onto a plastic headband?

    1. I do not recommend hot gluing buttons onto plastic headband....I have tried it, and the buttons pop off in one or two wearings :( Sorry

  7. Hi! So I got the elastic and sewed it together but it keeps slowly popping off of my head. What am I doing wrong? Did I make it too tight?

  9. I am not sure exactly how you do this with the elastic, headband, buttons, and glue. Could someone who has had good luck in making one of these.
