Fruit Punch With A Side of Cuff!

Isn't this the perfect Summer Set! I wanted to do something different but that still went with everything. I grabbed some silk chord and fringe and went to work! I wanted to make sure I could wear this with any of my summer outfits so I went to my big mix of beads! I braided the fringe and silk with chain to help balance the weight of the stones. It will look great with a sundress or a
t-shirt and jeans! I love it!

I do not usually make cuffs, but I saw a cuff similar at the Anthropologie and I had to have it, but I did not want to pay the Anthro price, so I made one of my own! It is a mix of jaquard ribbon, silk yoyos, buttons beads and a little bit of everything! I pretty sure my sisters will be asking for one these!!

Vintage Summer!

My friend Jeanne came up with this amazing idea to take vintage hankies and doilies, and make them into fabulously unique headbands and clips! We paired them with silk rosettes, vintage buttons, and lace.I just love them. Enjoy

The following creations are not made with vintage hankies but they are still pretty fabulous!!

Crazy for Cupcakes!!

So as most of you know I have totally jumped on the cupcake craze! This past Friday my design class went to Washington, LA . We started the day off by visited the yard sale at the Old School House that happens twice a year! I was on the hunt for some old plates andcups to make a tre' fab cupcake stand, and of course I was on the lookout for buttons :) Luckily I was able to find exactly what I wanted...

Here's How I made my cupcake stand!!

Some pretty glass plates and cups!
One of them is a cake plate I got for $2
This one is my favorite with the fleur de lis detail!

Epoxy each layer together according to the directions.
I used a 2 part epoxy.
Finished and ready to dry! I thought I needed some cupcakes for my new stand
:)

How cute are these...dollar

You Gotta Try This!

So I don't usually post tutorials on my site, but I had to share this one! The other evening I made these fabric wall decal frames. I found the perfect place on a
skinny wall that really serves no purpose!
I thought I'd share a couple of non-jewelry/hair projects I have been working on. This is the arrangement over my bed. I wanted something that took up the whole wall because my bed is not centered on wall. I repurposed 3 odd rectangular canvases in the middle. I covered one in burlap and attached a modge podged J, another in burlap with a birdie on a branch and the other painted with a doily. I love odd and ends so I attached some keys to canvases I found in the Michaels discount section. I found a door knob on sale at hobby lobby (but I think I hung it upside down!) My great grandmother made the large doily and my mother had it in a trunk for years. So I lightly modge podged it to a painted canvas. I also threw in some buttons because they are a must in practically every project I do! I made the large button fleur about a year ago and placed little button on a couple of the other pieces.

Strawberry Lemonade, Coffee and Cream Punch
and Lemon Water.
An edible fruit arrangement I made.
It was a lot easier than you think!
The boutineer made out of baby socks that I embellished.
We got the sock flowers from a store and I added the ribbon, flowers, feathers, and of course buttons!
